Moving to a new platform Print E-mail

Due to the seemingly slow development of the Joomla and Mambo platforms. I have decided to switch platforms completely.

All of your usernames and passwords have been transferred to the new platform. If you find that your old password doesn't work, please request a new one via the link on the new platform.

I have spent the last 2 days ironing out some kinks.

The major casualty of the move is the forum. I have been unable to find a simple solution to migrating the forum. However I still have the database and will transfer information manually if you still feel that you need to share information from.

I am still in the process of moving files over, so I won't be performing the switchover until Tuesday 8th September 2009 at 9am BST (GMT+1).

Due to the nature of the internet it may take anything from 24 to 48 hours for you to see the new platform from the geohikes link. However if you cannot wait that long from Tuesday you can visit the site via:

www.boxhunting.co.uk/drupal

Slight correction to the address that was posted earlier, you can reach the site via:

http://www.boxhunting.co.uk/joomla/

Do not forget the / at the end otherwise it will not work or alternatively you could add index.php after the /

now the link without the www is working.

So:

http://boxhunting.co.uk/joomla/

Okay we are now in our new home.

There is currently a temporary address in place:

http://argo.qubiq.net/~wizard/joomla

If all goes well in a few days (after some re-configuring for me)  you will be able to access the site via:

http://boxhunting.co.uk/joomla

Thank you for your patience.

Kind Regards

Richard

All the files have now been successfully transferred across, in the next couple of days I'll be closing the site and transferring any new transactions on the database.
